This course provides a thorough grounding in the principles of professional training. It defines ‘learning’ and ‘training’; provides an understanding of the theories to help determine the competencies and skills of learners; how to carry out a training or learning needs analysis; the effective design, and delivery of training incorporating a variety of practical methods such as ice-breakers, role-plays, group work etc to enhance the learning experience. The course will also address how to carry out an effective evaluation of training using the Kirkpatrick model.
